i build software
and i teach
_

Software engineer and technical curriculum developer based in Seattle. 5+ years building production software and teaching other people to build it.

What I do

I sit between two jobs that people usually treat as separate: building software, and teaching people how to build software. In practice they feed each other. Writing curriculum forces me to understand a technology well enough to explain it plainly, and shipping real applications keeps the curriculum honest about how the work actually goes.

I run two things of my own. ComadreLab is a web studio for small businesses, where I am founder and lead engineer — six client projects shipped since 2024, built mobile-first and wired into the tools a business already uses. MujerTech is a 16-week AI and business bootcamp for women entrepreneurs in Latin America, Spanish-first and currently running with its first cohort.

Most of my work lands in one of three places: full-stack applications for small businesses, AI tools that solve a specific problem rather than being a chatbot for its own sake, and bilingual technical training for people who have been left out of tech education. Before tech I spent two decades in communications and project management, which is most of the reason I am comfortable in front of a room.

What I have shipped

  • MujerTech — live and running with its first cohort of 25 learners.
  • Picas y Fijas — played by 1,092 people across 177 cities.
  • Nouvie — order and inventory system running in production for a Colombian cleaning products company.
  • ComadreLab — six client projects shipped and supported since 2024.
  • Techtonica — 50+ engineers mentored and onboarded since 2021.

Does Cristina Rodriguez need visa sponsorship to work in the United States?

No. I am a US Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), so no sponsorship is required. I am based in Seattle, Washington on Pacific time, and I am open to fully remote roles as well as hybrid work in the Seattle area.

Can Cristina Rodriguez teach technical curriculum in both English and Spanish?

Yes. I am fully bilingual and write and deliver curriculum in both languages. MujerTech, my 16-week AI and business bootcamp, is Spanish-first and running now with a first cohort of 25 women entrepreneurs in Latin America. My English-language curriculum work was at ELM Learning and Techtonica.

What kind of software does Cristina Rodriguez build?

Full-stack web applications and AI tools. My stack is TypeScript in strict mode, React, Next.js with the App Router, Node.js, Python and FastAPI, on PostgreSQL and Supabase. Recent production work includes Nouvie, an order and inventory system running for a Colombian cleaning products company.

Who builds websites for small businesses in Seattle?

ComadreLab, my web studio, has shipped and supported six client projects since 2024. I am the founder and lead engineer. Every site is built mobile-first and wired into the tools the business already uses, rather than adding one more system for the owner to maintain.

How much AI and LLM engineering experience does Cristina Rodriguez have?

I build production AI tools with the Anthropic API and Claude, MCP and FastMCP servers, LangChain, and the OpenAI API. That work includes multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop design, and retrieval with pgvector. I also teach AI to non-engineers, which is a harder test of understanding it.

What is MujerTech?

MujerTech is a 16-week AI and business bootcamp for women entrepreneurs in Latin America, taught Spanish-first. It is live now with its first cohort of 25 learners. I designed the curriculum and I teach it. The program site is bootcamp.mujertech.org.

Does Cristina Rodriguez have formal instructional design credentials?

Yes. I am certified in E-Learning Instructional Design by the University of Washington. Alongside that credential I spent May 2021 to December 2023 at Techtonica as a Technical Program Manager, mentoring and onboarding more than 50 engineers, and two years writing technical curriculum at ELM Learning.

Is Cristina Rodriguez available for freelance or contract work?

Yes — through ComadreLab for client software work, and directly for curriculum and technical training engagements. The fastest way to reach me is email at yosola@gmail.com. My full CV is available as a PDF from the download-cv link in the navigation.
